Special thanks go to Brian C. for being so kind as to upload my sound clips onto his server. Without him you would have a hard time downloading them! Thanks Brian! Angry because the old clips are gone? Don't be! They're right here (mirror)! Each clip was mic'ed with a Shure SM57 microphone and placed 1 cm away from the edge of cone, angled so that the top of the mic was pointing towards the center of the cone--I believe this is referred as an off-axis mic'ing technique. Most of the clips are first takes, as my time is usually very limited, so sorry about any sloppy playing. All amplifier settings are the same for speaker clips, and any reverb you hear is the amp's unit and NOT studio production. These clips shouldn't be used to represent a new Hot Rod Deluxe, as I've
modded the heck out of mine looking for a tone that I love. If you're looking for clips of a stock unit, you'll find a good representation here, as to me those clips very much resemble a stock unit.
Also, my Hot Rod Deluxe was broken for about 6 months before I finally got around to fixing it, so some pickup clips feature my Fender Concert II instead.
